Helicopter Underwater Escape Training with EBS (HUET)
This program is prepared for crew members and passengers of any helicopters making daylight and night flights above water surface. Training on leaving a sinking helicopter using the emergency breathing systems allows to fulfill emergency actions and procedures at an emergency landing or falling of the helicopter in water. By means of trainer simulating the helicopter cabin having an opportunity of overturning and immersing in water, trainees fulfill some of the basic exercises, for example:
- evacuation from the surface (the helicopter is on surface of water in vertical stable condition);
- partial immersing (the helicopter at landing begins slow immersing in water in vertical condition, filling in a zone of the cabin);
- slow overturning (at cabin partially filled by water the helicopter starts to overturn);
- fast overturning (the helicopter overturns right after landings on water surface).
