Specialized course of training of GMDSS Instructors

The objective of the course is to train Instructors of GMDSS simulation training centers in accordance to regulations of the Ministry of Transport,Russia. 

The purpose of the course is to train Instructors of GMDSS Simulation Centers providing GMDSS ship operators training. As a result of the training the participants should KNOW:

• regulations on radio communication of Maritime Mobile Service (MMS), Maritime Mobile Satellite Service (MMSS) and GMDSS
• purpose, tasks and objectives of Maritime Mobile Service (MMS), Maritime Mobile Satellite Service (MMSS) and GMDSS
• IMO regulations on GMDSS operators training and assessment
• International regulations on radio communication, STCW/95 Convention
• Regulations of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping on the equipment of ocean vessels
• principles of GMDSS structure
• GMDSS components and and their interrelation
• organizational principles of safety of navigation by means of radio communication and radio determination
• tasks of a commercial radio communication on the sea
• organizational principles of communication systems and management
• principles of construction and functioning of telecommunication networks
• features of radio wave propagation of the various bands used in MMS and MMSS
• main principles of radio-frequency spectrum used in MMS and MMSS
• organizational and technical measures on maintenance of electromagnetic compatibility of radio-electronic devices and systems in MMS and MMSS
